INTRODUCTION
The Need for Better Digital Learning
In June 2021, Andreas Schleicher, the Director of Education for the OECD, released a video lamenting the digital learning practices used during the pandemic. These stop-gap measures, he explained, "conserved existing education practice, but didn't really transform it" (EduSkills OECD, 2021). He urged educators to take the opportunity provided by the pandemic to dive into digital learning and leverage the capacities of both teachers and learners to support meaningful transformative classroom experiences and promote 21st-century learning.
Our report will review both the pedagogical theory and ergonomic characteristics that underpin the basis of our selected tools providing practical examples for using these tools in a classroom context while also demonstrating their value to the student learning experience.
